My Handsome Hubby

 

I'm taking a little break and posting about my handsome hubby.  Last year he began his journey on becoming fit. I guess with us expecting our first and the fact that he turned 30 in 2013, it was enough motivation to get into shape. Of course I was happy for him, but when I got into my third trimester and he was getting smaller as I was getting bigger I was a tad bit annoyed. At the very end of my pregnancy I weighed more than him (which wouldn't have been the case if he just waited to work out). But all this to say: I am so incredibly proud of him for this difficult feat he has accomplished. He's lost about 50 pounds and ran his first half marathon last week. And his success motivates me to push harder. Here is a little before and after.

5 months and a new year

Happy new year! On January 5th, Conall turned 5 months old!


New skill:The day before his 5 month birthday he began rolling onto his stomach from his back. He's done it randomly before, but now it's all he wants to do when placed on the floor. The funny thing is that although that's all he wants to do, he isn't always so happy with the end result. He likes the act of rolling over but not necessarily being on his tummy.

Favorite toy: While he loves his play mat and swing still, the jumperoo is starting to be his favorite toy. He did get many toys for Christmas as well, so it's a tough call. For little things he really likes his teething keys.

Really working on: sitting up. He wants to be a big boy and strong. He does pretty well!

We spent Christmas this year with my family in Tulsa, OK. Although the original plan was to just spend a week, Conall and I came up early to spend some extra time a good friend.  But that just meant that we got to spend more time with more people and Conall got extra love! Here are some pics!
